Job Description

Bloomscape is seeking to hire a creative Content Manager to help tell a cohesive, performative, and engaging story across all marketing channels, both digital and traditional. We are looking for a storyteller with a strong aesthetic and a maker’s heart who is excited about designing, shooting, producing, writing, and crafting the assets and components needed to tell the Bloomscape story.

Reporting to the Director of Marketing and the first hire as part of our content-driven, behavioral marketing team, you will be key in creating the assets and developing the content—written and visual—that supports our growth strategy and reinforces our brand.


To be successful in this role you need to be flexible, resourceful, and organized with a keen eye for design and careful attention to detail. Your ability to envision AND execute creative ways to authentically connect with our customers will make you indispensable as Bloomscape grows.

The Content Manager will:
– Create and maintain visual cohesion across Bloomscape channels
– Work closely with the Director of Marketing and CEO to conceptualize and execute visual assets to support marketing and brand strategies
– “Own” our social channels and build a social community that expresses our brand and aligns with overall marketing strategies
– Help build and maintain a strategic content calendar
– Manage our blog by writing, producing, coordinating, and optimizing our blog posts
– Project manage and coordinate with creative partners as needed to produce photo, video, and experiential assets
– Help with other initiatives such as: events, activations, print collateral, and co-branding as needed
– Assist with crafting messaging for products, company, promotions, and advertising needs

Responsibilities

– Adhere to brand guidelines, budgets, and timelines
– Follow SEO best practices and work to improve page rankings and content visibility
– Follow and stay up-to-date on social media best practices for Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, etc
– Produce photo assets for digital campaigns, website, and content
– Design and produce print collateral including care cards, promotional materials, lookbooks, welcome kits, etc
– Design digital ads, social posts, and email assets as necessary

Qualifications

– Strong aesthetic vision
– Graphic Design experience
– Some video and photo production experience
– Excellent written communication skills
– Expert in Adobe Suite
– Strong project management skills
– Strong understanding of social media strategy and best practices
– Must be an independent, strategic, and creative thinker who is a strong team player (no job is too small or too large) and willing to take on additional responsibilities as necessary
– Self-motivated with ability to work in ambiguity and still drive forward
– Bachelor’s degree in Design, Communications, or related field
– Passion for plants and the Bloomscape brand

– Experience managing vendors, clients, and/or partners
– Knowledge of SEO and content best practices and trends

– Previous experience in home decor, lifestyle, or direct-to-consumer brands
