Use these instructions to care for a Purple Petunia, White Lobelia, and Silver Licorice Combination Kit. This guide will tell you how to water a Purple Petunia, White Lobelia, and Silver Licorice Combination Kit; its light, temperature, humidity preferences and any additional care it might need to help it grow.
Purple Petunia, White Lobelia, and Silver Licorice Combination Kit
Your Purple Petunia, White Lobelia, and Silver Licorice plants thrive in partial to full sun where the plants can receive at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. Likewise, they also love a bit of shade if the afternoon sun is too intense.
All three plants in this Kit love consistently moist soil, but take care not to overwater them since a soggy environment could damage their roots. Also, be sure to water at the base of the plants. This prevents splashing water on the foliage and blooms when watering, which can bring about mildew and fungus growth.
You can start off with a slow-release fertilizer and then, as the growing season comes to an end, you can feed your plants with a diluted, liquid all-purpose fertilizer every 4 to 6 weeks.
To encourage new flower growth on your Petunias, remove spent blooms in a practice known as deadheading. Removing the dead flowers will help promote additional growth throughout the season. White Lobelias do not typically require deadheading, but if they start getting leggy or stretched out, feel free to trim the flowers and foliage back to promote growth. Be sure to fertilize regularly.
