How to Care for an Arrowhead Plant

Use these instructions to care for an Arrowhead Plant. This guide will tell you how to water your Arrowhead Plant; its light, temperature, and humidity preferences; and any additional care your plant might need to help it grow.

LIGHT REQUIREMENTS

Your Arrowhead Mango will tolerate lower light conditions, however, it will flourish in bright indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight as it will scorch the leaves.

WATER REQUIREMENTS

Water well and then allow your Arrowhead Mango to slightly dry out between waterings. Although your plant enjoys some moisture, it should not be kept too wet which may lead to root rot. In winter your Arrowhead Mango requires less water.

HUMIDITY PREFERENCE

Your Arrowhead Mango will do well in higher humidity environments especially during the winter. Mist the plant daily or place its container on a tray filled with pebbles and water to increase the humidity.

OPTIMUM TEMPERATURE

Your Arrowhead Mango prefers temperatures between 64--80 degrees during the day and above 60 degrees at night.

PLANT FOOD

Fertilize your Arrowhead Mango up to once a month in the spring, summer, and fall. No need to feed in the winter when plant growth naturally slows. Always make sure the soil is damp before applying any fertilizer.

ADDITIONAL CARE

If you want to keep your plant compact and bushy, pinch the new growth on a regular basis. Wear gloves when pinching as the plants’ sap can cause skin irritation.

TOXICITY

The Arrowhead Mango Plant is toxic to humans, dogs, and cats. Cna cause mild stomach and mouth irritation.
