Calathea Rosy Roseo features boldly patterned pink and green leaves with a deep green border. The undersides of the leaves are a unique deep pink color. They grow relatively slow, but can eventually reach a height of around two feet, if allowed to grow by repotting regularly. Calathea have a habit of folding up their leaves during the night, a phenomenon called nyctinasty. You’ll notice new leaves on the Calathea Rosy Roseo are brushed in pink, while that pink coloring fades to a light greenish white over time. The variation of color is what makes this Calathea so unique!
This Calathea originates from the tropical rainforests in Central and South America and therefore thrives in consistently moist soil, lower light and higher humidity. With a little extra care, this non-toxic plant will make a stunning and pet-safe addition to your home.
