Description
The trumpet-shaped blooms of the Mandevilla are undoubtedly the highlight of this outdoor tropical plant. Blooming continuously throughout the summer, the plant becomes covered in large red flowers for a show stopping effect. This plant requires minimal maintenance — just full sun, regular feeding, and the occasional trim of any wayward vines.
Native to the Americas, the Mandevilla naturally sprawls along forest floors and climbs up trees thanks to its vining nature. To maintain its vigorous growth, you can redirect the vining stems back through the provided trellis. Feel free to let the plant grow undisturbed if you prefer a wild, sprawling look. To encourage maximum flowering, place your Mandevilla in 6 or more hours of direct sunlight and fertilize it regularly with a bloom-boosting fertilizer high in phosphorus.
