Description
Phalaenopsis Orchids are graceful plants with colorful, velvety blooms atop long arching stems. The Orchid is an ideal elegant centerpiece or stately desk companion. Not only are the flowers beautiful – but they’re long-lasting, blooming for 2-6 months. Flowers will eventually droop and can be pruned off and will rebloom twice a year given the proper care.
Orchids are native to Southern China, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, and New Guinea. They are also epiphytic plants meaning they grow on trees or rocks in the wild. They use their roots to capture moisture and nutrients from the air. Orchids prefer warm conditions, high humidity, and bright indirect light. Water when the potting medium is almost all the way dry, and give it a good soak by bottom watering.
